Milk peda

Peda is a thick, semi-soft melt in the mouth sweet. I like to call it "Paal khova" as that name is so close to my heart. Pure milk is boiled for long hours, till the last drop of water evaporates. Then this khova is used with sugar to make peda. Often it is flavored with cardamom seeds and saffron. I have a slightly easier version here.

Cooking time: 45 min

Milk powder-1cups
Condensed milk-1 cup
Butter-1/4 cup
Cardamom powder-1 pinch

Melt the butter and mix with milk powder and condensed milk. heat it on medium heat with continuous stirring until the mixture starts leaving the sides and forms a mass. Stir in cardamom powder. Slightly cool the mixture. Shape them into rounds and press an almond.

Tips:
1. You can add saffron mixed with a little milk to make it more colorful.
2. You could make whole milk. But it needs long hours to condense it.
